Dyslexia in the Workplace
With as many as one in eight people having dyslexia, it can easily go unnoticed during childhood and often affects people right throughout their working life.
The Helen Arkell Centre specialises in assessments and support for dyslexic people and can diagnose dyslexia in both children and adults. Some of the symptoms can include struggling with writing words down correctly, finding it hard to add up basic numbers and even lacking verbal and written communication skills.
For those that believe that they may be dyslexic, the charity work hard to assess you and to discover whether you do have dyslexia or not. If you are struggling at work or have noticed that you are struggling in one of your key roles at work, then they can help you to turn your dyslexia into something more positive. If you are an employer or a line manager and suspect these kind of problems in any of your personnel we may be able to help you to make reasonable adjustments.
Contact the centre today and book in for a Consultation to discuss dyslexia in more detail on 01252 792 400, or visit their bookshop to discover more about dyslexia in your own time.
