Are You Going To University?

If your 18th birthday falls within the current academic year and if you haven't already left school, it may be that you will be doing so this summer and moving on to higher education.

Many universities and colleges require a post-16 full assessment in order to be able to offer you the support that you may require, including extra time in exams (this also applies if you are applying for Disabled Students Allowance).

From past experience, we know that this is sometimes an issue that suddenly comes to light just before the new term starts in September, when our assessment diary can perhaps be already fully booked.

We suggest that you contact your university/college of choice to find out their requirements? If you do need to have a new assessment carried out before you commence this new chapter in your life, please do get in touch with the Centre on
01252 792400 or email afield@arkellcentre.org.uk

NOTE We will shortly be announcing some dates in the summer holidays when we will be running our Study Skills courses which may be of interest to you. Look out for them on www.helenarkelldyslexiacentre.org.uk
